Davidson Canyon
Gabe Zimmerman Trail Head

About the Event:

Friction fire is at the heart of what it means to be human. It is an ancestral skill as old as we are and has shaped our evolution from the beginning, but we have all but lost this human skill.

Yoga too is an ancestral skill used for thousands of years to control ones breath, understand ones consciousness, and build ones bodily heat and longevity.

Treven Hooker, founder of MindfulSoles and professional nature educator will show students why yoga and friction fire are two sides of the same coin.

Learn how to identify and harvest the correct plants needed to make your very own fire kit. Then learn the magical skills of friction fire to start your very own fire. Enjoy a fire cooked meal under a starry night sky to end your magical night.
