A young woman with long, wavy brown hair wearing a wide-brimmed brown hat, beige tank top, patterned green and black shawl, red-orange pants, and a brown belt, standing outdoors among trees with a colorful blanket and a drum on the ground behind her, smiling at the camera.

About the band: Jacqueline Thompson & John Ford make up Sleep Stampede, a modern folk duo based in Flagstaff, Arizona. Sleep Stampede’s sound has been described as “the feeling you get after a good long day in the mountains,” which reflects their love for wild places that bring them inspiration. Their imagery-rich songwriting, intimate performances, and community-centered events evoke familiarity, hope and sadness, bringing listeners into a dream-like state of both comfort and heartbreak. They are both frequently covered in dirt, fond of early mornings, and feel most themselves while songwriting over coffee.
